- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend, no call, with holiday coverage as needed
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
- Unit Focus: Clinical decision/direct admit workflow, ED decompression, and enhanced throughput
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry, or Step-Down experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, patient-first attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick-turnover acute care environment
- Comfortable floating within skill set as needed
- Charge nurse experience or willingness to consider charge responsibilities is a plus
Responsibilities
- Receive admitted patients from the ED and support efficient patient throughput
- Complete admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiate acute care orders
- Provide high-quality care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses
- Monitor and manage step-down and progressive care patients in a collaborative environment
- Float to other units within skill set when needed
- Use Cerner documentation and Baxter IV pumps in daily workflow
- Support patient safety, communication, and a smooth care experience for patients and families
