• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Location: Jersey City, NJ 07302
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 - $2,890
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts (15:00 - 23:30)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: 2 times per schedule
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Charting System: EPIC
• Start Date: 08/24/2026

Job Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of current acute care Operating Room nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or required per unit guidelines
• Ability to circulate and scrub in the Operating Room
• Experience with robotic surgery and ENT cases required
• Experience in ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgery required
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Must submit a work history scrub and circulate skills checklist
• Ability to float within surgical skillset as needed
• First-time travel nurses accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing support in the Operating Room across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Scrub and circulate for complex and routine procedures, including trauma-related cases
• Prepare the OR by setting up equipment and ensuring readiness for scheduled surgeries
• Review next-day surgical cases and help maintain a smooth workflow
• Support patient safety, sterile technique, and efficient intraoperative care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to deliver excellent patient care
• Adapt to multiple service lines in a busy, high-acuity hospital environment
