• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: Nights, every other holiday, and every other weekend
• Contract Length: 20 weeks
• Patient Population: Strong cardiac focus with occasional MICU overflow
• Unit Size: 17 beds
• Typical Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity ICU environment

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside nursing care to ICU patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes, alarms, and clinical status updates
• Deliver safe, high-quality care in a unit with both ICU and occasional MICU overflow patients
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate assessments, documentation, and timely communication of changes in patient condition
• Adapt to a dynamic critical care setting while upholding excellent patient safety standards
