Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• TNCC or TNS required at time of submission
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ED environment
• Perform thorough patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
• Develop and carry out individualized care plans based on patient needs and provider orders
• Document patient care accurately and consistently according to standards of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
• Use clinical judgment to promote patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately
• Participate in performance improvement, unit practice activities, and peer review
• Serve as a clinical resource through expertise in emergency room nursing and professional practice
