- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- Shift: Night shift, 12-hour schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Shifts Per Week: 3x12-hour shifts; 4x12s available
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend rotation with some holidays
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Setting: Adult critical care in a Level I Trauma Center
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing or acute care experience in a comparable specialty
- Experience in medical, surgical, and trauma ICU preferred
- Current Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to pass telemetry testing prior to start
- Strong critical thinking skills and comfort with high-acuity patient care
- Willingness to float as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside care to critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients in a Trauma ICU
- Monitor and manage complex conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, GI bleeds, post-op recovery, and multisystem organ dysfunction
- Perform and assist with advanced ICU therapies such as ventilator management, vasoactive drips, sedation, and arterial line care
- Support patients requiring invasive monitoring, blood product administration, and advanced life support interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary critical care team to promote safe, evidence-based patient care
- Respond to urgent situations throughout the hospital as part of a highly trained critical care team
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold best practices in a high-acuity environment
