ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Salem, Massachusetts

• Setting: Adult Medical/Surgical ICU
• Location: Salem, Massachusetts 01970
• Start Date: 9/6/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Nights with every other weekend coverage; floating required
• Charting System: EPIC
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; may increase when floating to med/surg areas

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of continuous adult ICU experience, preferably in a MICU or critical care setting
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Experience floating to medical/surgical units preferred
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and time-management skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a busy ICU setting
• Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition with accuracy and urgency
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, cardiac arrest, GI bleed, renal failure, and more
• Collaborate closely with attendings, residents, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver safe, evidence-based critical care while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Float as needed to support med/surg areas and meet patient care demands
• Document care accurately in EPIC and maintain high standards of clinical practice
