Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a night shift medical-surgical unit. In this travel RN role, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support recovery, promote safety, and help patients move through every stage of their care journey.

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Strong orthopedic background preferred
• Experience in an acute care or medical-surgical setting preferred
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in the electronic health record
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient response according to best practice
• Support patients with post-surgical recovery, stroke workups, and other Med/Surg needs
• Manage and monitor common devices and therapies such as wound vacs, drains, NG tubes, central lines, and oxygen support
• Collaborate closely with physicians, PCTs, and unit support staff to coordinate care
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and recovery throughout every shift
