- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990 - $2,100
- Unit Setting: 64-bed Emergency Department with adult, pediatric, trauma, and psychiatric care areas
- Floating: Required
- Charge Nurse: Highly preferred
- EMR: Epic experience preferred
Job Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Some pediatric ED experience required
- Travel nurse experience required
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- TNCC certification required and must be in hand
- Skills checklist matching Emergency Department specialty
- Resume documenting relevant ER and travel nursing experience
- Driver's license with address matching demographics
- Nursys license verification with all active RN licenses
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-moving emergency care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in the Emergency Department
- Respond to a wide range of emergency medicine conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Support triage, acute care, trauma, CDU, and psychiatric patient needs as assigned
- Use critical care tools and specialty equipment such as rapid infusers and Arctic Sun systems
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the broader healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care
- Adapt to floating assignments and changing patient acuity with confidence and professionalism
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold strong clinical standards in a busy ED setting
