Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required; candidates with 5 years in PEDS ED, PICU, and Level IV NICU care are strongly preferred
- At least 3 years of neonatal and/or pediatric transport experience within the last 5 years
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- TNCC and STABLE certifications preferred
- Experience with interfacility transport by ground or air
- Comfort working with critical care transport equipment and workflows
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for neonatal and pediatric patients during transport
- Support airway management, vasoactive drips, IV/IO access, and non-invasive ventilation
- Administer inhaled respiratory medications and assist with advanced transport interventions
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy and transport team partners during ground and air transfers
- Care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including respiratory illness, sepsis, trauma, congenital conditions, and metabolic disorders
- Float to support units as needed when not actively transporting patients
- Use monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and electronic charting systems safely and accurately
