Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - New York Area | Local Contract

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department or ER nursing experience
• Current New York State RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to float to other units within demonstrated competency based on staffing needs

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support timely, high-quality emergency care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical standards
• Float to additional units as needed within scope of competency and staffing requirements
• Maintain professional presentation and adhere to facility dress and safety expectations
