NICU RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Experience caring for premature infants, including babies 28 weeks and above
• Experience managing central lines and respiratory support, including intubated patients
• Ability to care for trach infants and patients with broviacs preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity neonatal intensive care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to neonates in a Level III NICU setting
• Monitor and support infants requiring advanced respiratory and developmental care
• Assist with the management of central lines, IV therapy, and specialized neonatal equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support surgical, cardiac, and critically ill newborn patients
• Document patient care accurately in clinical systems
• Support unit procedures and workflows in a high-acuity neonatal care environment
• Adapt to floating expectations as needed within pediatric and critical care areas for patients up to 2 years old
