• Schedule: Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Floating: Travelers may be required to float as needed
• Orientation: 36 hours

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty area
• Experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown required
• Telemetry, oncology, and cardiac experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience in an academic Level I or Level II trauma center or a similar-size hospital required
• Must be able to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Must be eligible to work as a travel RN and meet assignment compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with complex medical and cardiac needs
• Care for patients with multiple comorbidities, hemodynamic instability, and specialized diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support patients requiring ventilator management, transplant care, and advanced stepdown-level interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Deliver compassionate, efficient care in a fast-paced academic medical environment
• Float as needed to support unit and facility needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold strong patient safety standards
