- Unit Setting: 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med-Surg unit
- Orientation: Orientation provided prior to start
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- 2 years of ICU experience required
- Recent experience in a critical care or ICU setting strongly preferred
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- LTAC experience preferred
- Ability to support safe floating to qualified units as needed
- Strong critical thinking skills and comfort caring for high-acuity patients
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to adult ICU and LTAC patients
- Monitor complex patient conditions and respond to changes in status quickly and effectively
- Manage ventilator support, weaning, tracheostomy care, and respiratory therapies as indicated
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and maintain IV and central line care
- Perform wound care, infection prevention measures, and ongoing patient assessments
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, radiology, and other support teams
- Document care accurately in Epic and maintain compliance with unit protocols
- Float to qualified units when needed based on census and staffing demands
- Support a safe, compassionate, and efficient care environment for every patient
