  • Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Shift Duration: 8 hours
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
  • Unit Census: Approximately 20 patients daily
  • Orientation: 8 hours
  • Call Requirement: Weekday nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Float Requirement: Per unit needs

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with orthopedic and spine cases preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, safety protocols, and OR workflows
  • Ability to manage a 1:1 patient ratio in a surgical setting
  • Experience with total joints, Mako cases, GYN, sports medicine, and general OR procedures preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing unit needs and participate in call rotation

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process
  • Prepare the operating room and support safe, efficient case flow
  • Assist with a range of procedures including orthopedic, spine, gynecologic, and general surgery cases
  • Maintain strict adherence to universal protocol, infection control, and fire safety standards
  • Support patient safety through accurate specimen handling, documentation, and surgical time-outs
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Respond effectively to code situations and emergent OR needs
  • Provide flexible support across units as needed based on patient care demands
