This position offers an estimated weekly pay of $1,830-$1,930, along with a consistent 3 shifts per week schedule working 12-hour night shifts. You will care for postpartum patients and newborns in a busy, collaborative unit focused on safe, high-quality outcomes for mothers and babies.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, or maternal-newborn nursing experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Required certifications: BLS and NRP
  • Experience with postpartum, couplet care, and newborn care strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage postpartum vaginal and cesarean delivery recovery
  • Experience with Epic charting preferred
  • Must be flexible and willing to support floating as needed
  • Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to postpartum patients and newborns in a Mother/Baby setting
  • Monitor maternal recovery following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
  • Perform newborn assessments, thermoregulation support, and glucose management
  • Educate parents on infant care, feeding, discharge planning, and safety
  • Support couplet care and low-risk antepartum patients as assigned
  • Administer and monitor blood products, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate per protocol
  • Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
  • Provide post-op care and support for GYN and postpartum surgical patients
  • Assist with breastfeeding guidance, breast pump use, and newborn bonding support
  • Float to NICU or Labor & Delivery when needed to support patient care
