- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM; weekends required
- Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Setting Highlights: High-acuity Emergency Department in a Level III trauma center with STEMI and stroke-ready capabilities
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience required
- 1+ year of travel nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- Ability to care for patients across the full acuity spectrum, including ESI levels 1-5
- Experience with triage, rapid assessment, port access/deaccess, PIV placement, foley insertion, NG/OG placement, wound care, and splint/OCL application
- Comfort assisting with arterial lines, central lines, and chest tube placement
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Willingness to float to support other departments when needed
- Preceptor or charge experience is preferred, with willingness to help precept in the future
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, efficient care for emergency patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER environment
- Perform quick triage and prioritize care for high-acuity and time-sensitive cases
- Support treatment of stroke, STEMI, trauma, sepsis, and other emergent conditions
- Deliver hands-on clinical care, including IV starts, wound care, splinting, tube placement, and other core Emergency Department skills
- Assist with bedside procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes
- Work closely with the ED team to maintain patient flow and direct patients to beds whenever possible
- Support psych patient placement coordination on nights and weekends when applicable
- Accurately complete EMTALA documentation and follow facility policies
- Remain flexible and ready to float to other departments as needed to support patient care
