• Unit Setting: Intermediate Care Unit / Cardiac Stepdown
• Floating: Required
• EMR: Epic experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York State
• At least 2 years of experience in IMCU, PCU, cardiac stepdown, or a similar intermediate care setting
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong skills checklist aligned with cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or intermediate care nursing
• Resume that clearly documents relevant RN experience
• Ability to support rotating patient care needs and assist with floating as needed
• Reliable, team-oriented approach with excellent clinical judgment and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients with cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory, and post-operative conditions
• Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate level care, including MI, COPD, DKA, sepsis, and cardiovascular stepdown needs
• Support care for patients using specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Vapo systems
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly with appropriate clinical interventions
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, effective outcomes
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain an organized, efficient workflow
• Contribute to a supportive, patient-focused environment while adapting to floating responsibilities
