• Shift Duration: 8-hour days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 – $2,230
• Unit Size: 46 beds
• Patient Population: Adults ages 18 and over
• Charting System: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health settings
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification required; may be completed on site if needed
• BSN preferred
• Experience working with patients in a locked or secure psychiatric setting
• Ability to safely pass medications using automated medication systems
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a compassionate, trauma-informed approach

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult behavioral health and psychiatric patients in a secure inpatient environment
• Administer medications and monitor patients closely for changes in condition
• Support patients with diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, and substance use disorders
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, rehabilitation staff, social workers, and the broader care team to support patient needs
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and follow unit protocols
• Respond calmly and professionally to changing patient needs in a dynamic setting
• Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
