• Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shift
• Hours Per Week: 40 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 - $2,230
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Orientation: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays
• Patient Population: Adults 18 and over
• Unit Focus: Behavioral health / forensic care environment

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license at the time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• Experience working with mental health patients in a locked behavioral health setting
• Ability to administer medications using an automated dispensing system
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification, or willingness to complete it onsite if needed
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, trauma-informed approach
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult behavioral health and psychiatric patients
• Support patients with bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, substance use disorders, and chronic medical needs
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patient response
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, rehab staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Use sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced, changing mental health environment
• Maintain patient safety while supporting therapeutic, trauma-informed care
• Document care in the EHR and complete routine monitoring, including vitals and point-of-care glucose checks
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on respect, flexibility, and excellent patient outcomes
