Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Psych / Behavioral Health RN
• Location: Olathe, KS
• Facility Setting: Adult Behavioral Health
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36-40 guaranteed hours
• Weekend Requirement: 2-4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Call: No call required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570-$1,650

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• CPR certification
• CPI certification
• At least 1 year of psychiatric nursing or behavioral health experience
• Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach to patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced psychiatric unit
• Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented personality

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult psych and behavioral health patients
• Monitor and support patients experiencing mood disorders, psychosis, SI/HI, depression, and related conditions
• Complete assessments, documentation, and care planning accurately and on time
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a therapeutic, respectful, and supportive environment for patients
• Follow behavioral health protocols, safety procedures, and unit standards
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalating behavioral needs
