• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, including at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday in a 4-week schedule
• On Call: Not required
• Floating: May float to a nearby free-standing emergency department approximately 15 minutes away
• Unit Size: 22 beds
• EMR: Meditech

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent emergency department experience
• Strong IV skills with both adult and pediatric patients
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications
• Trauma experience and TNCC preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly, stay organized, and work well in a team-based environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a 1:4 patient ratio
• Support core ER procedures including IV starts, EKGs, cardioversion, and central line placement assistance
• Respond to cardiac arrests, Code Stroke, and Code Sepsis events
• Assist with pacemaker interrogation and suture/abscess setup
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other healthcare team members to deliver efficient, compassionate care
• Maintain professional, respectful communication and accountability across the team
