• Schedule: Every other weekend; holidays as needed; no call
• Floating: Expected to float to other units within skill set

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Step-Down/PCU experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Ability to manage a wide variety of diagnoses and adapt to changing patient needs
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider charge responsibilities is a plus
• Comfortable using Cerner documentation systems

Responsibilities

• Receive admitted patients from the ED and help complete admission assessments
• Perform medication reconciliation and initiate acute care orders
• Support patient safety, quality care, and efficient throughput in a clinical decision unit
• Collaborate with the care team in a high-turnover, team-oriented Telemetry / PCU setting
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Float within your skill set as needed to support patient care across related units
• Contribute to a positive patient and family experience through timely, compassionate care
