- Location: San Antonio, TX 78229
- Job Type: Travel Nurse Job / Telemetry RN Contract
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460–$1,540
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Rotation weekends with 2 weekend day commitments
- Float Requirement: Yes, as needed
- Documentation System: Meditech
Job Requirements
- Active Texas RN license required; temporary license is not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- NIH certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with neuro-stroke, seizure, and neurological disorders preferred
- Cardiac and neuro-surgical experience preferred
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Ability to provide safe, attentive patient care in a telemetry environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients with neurological and cardiac conditions
- Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Perform peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, and NGT insertions as needed
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the care team to support patient safety and positive outcomes
- Float to other units as needed while maintaining flexibility and professionalism
- Follow unit guidelines, attendance policies, and clinical standards
