ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Salem, Massachusetts

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Setting: Adult Medical/Surgical ICU in a Level III Trauma Center
• Float Requirement: Yes, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills required
• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in a high-acuity critical care or intensive care environment preferred
• Ability to float to Med/Surg areas and adapt to varying patient assignments
• Comfort working night shifts and every other weekend expectations
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate patient care to critically ill adult patients in a 20-bed ICU
• Monitor and assess patients with complex diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleed, DKA, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Interpret telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians, residents, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver care in a high-acuity environment with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, and 1:1 for higher-acuity cases
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed while maintaining safe, effective patient care
• Document accurately in EPIC and follow all unit protocols, quality standards, and clinical best practices
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and timely escalation of critical changes in condition
