- Shift: 12-hour nights, 4x12 schedule
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: May float to similar Med/Surg units and alternate inpatient care areas
- Target Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,660-$1,750
- Orientation: Unit and organizational orientation provided before your start
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in the last 5 years
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience caring for adult med/surg, orthopedic trauma, and general surgery patients
- Clinical experience with heparin drips, PCA management, blood product administration, and central line care
- Ability to manage chest tubes, surgical drains, tracheostomy care, wound care, and feeding tubes
- Strong skills in dysrhythmia recognition, IV starts, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions
- Must be open to floating as needed and working every other weekend
- Ability to complete required pre-start testing and onboarding within the stated timeframe
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and trauma patients
- Monitor and manage patients with orthopedic trauma, neuro trauma, and general surgery needs
- Administer medications and therapies safely, including heparin infusions and blood products
- Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and communicate promptly with the care team
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic electronic health record systems
- Support patients with wound care, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, and line care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care
- Adapt to a high-acuity inpatient environment while maintaining professionalism and strong clinical judgment
