• Shift: 12-hour nights, 4x12 schedule
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float to similar Med/Surg units and alternate inpatient care areas
• Target Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,660-$1,750
• Orientation: Unit and organizational orientation provided before your start

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in the last 5 years
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience caring for adult med/surg, orthopedic trauma, and general surgery patients
• Clinical experience with heparin drips, PCA management, blood product administration, and central line care
• Ability to manage chest tubes, surgical drains, tracheostomy care, wound care, and feeding tubes
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia recognition, IV starts, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions
• Must be open to floating as needed and working every other weekend
• Ability to complete required pre-start testing and onboarding within the stated timeframe

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and trauma patients
• Monitor and manage patients with orthopedic trauma, neuro trauma, and general surgery needs
• Administer medications and therapies safely, including heparin infusions and blood products
• Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and communicate promptly with the care team
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic electronic health record systems
• Support patients with wound care, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, and line care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Adapt to a high-acuity inpatient environment while maintaining professionalism and strong clinical judgment
