Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a Compact state at time of submission
• At least 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience in a similar-sized ED
• Experience in a trauma level 1 or level 2 environment required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Trauma certification preferred (ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC)
• Prior Cerner experience strongly preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with the application packet
• Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-moving ER setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Perform rapid assessments, monitor patient status, and respond to changing clinical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments according to established emergency care protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to prioritize and stabilize patients
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Support trauma and critical care workflows within the Emergency Department
• Maintain flexibility to support every-other-weekend scheduling and travel assignment expectations
