Join a fast-paced Emergency Room team in Lynchburg, Virginia, a welcoming Central Virginia city known for its scenic views, historic charm, and easy access to outdoor recreation in the Blue Ridge region. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a dynamic Emergency Department (ED) environment while using your emergency nursing and critical care skills every shift.

- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a Compact state at time of submission
- At least 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience in a similar-sized ED
- Experience in a trauma level 1 or level 2 environment required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Trauma certification preferred (ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC)
- Prior Cerner experience strongly preferred
- All requested time off must be submitted with the application packet
- Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-moving ER setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across a broad range of acuity levels
- Perform rapid assessments, monitor patient status, and respond to changing clinical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments according to established emergency care protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to prioritize and stabilize patients
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Support trauma and critical care workflows within the Emergency Department
- Maintain flexibility to support every-other-weekend scheduling and travel assignment expectations
