Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Critical Care RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:30 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Floating: May float to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU as needed
• Start Date: 08/31/2026

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of ICU nursing or acute care experience required; 1.5+ years preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license; pending New Mexico or compact license accepted prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Ability to manage adult critical care patients in a fast-paced intensive care unit
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial line care, central line management, and vasoactive drips preferred
• Comfort with floating to like units within scope of practice
• Weekend availability required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult ICU patients with complex and changing needs
• Monitor patient status closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and support ventilated patients
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Perform critical care interventions such as line management, suctioning, and ABG interpretation as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to safe, efficient patient flow
• Support a team-focused culture while delivering compassionate care to every patient
