Travel RN opportunity in Portland, OR 97239: Join a high-acuity cardiac telemetry and intermediate care team in a Magnet, teaching, Level I trauma center. - Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
- Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts per month
- Charting System: Epic
- Setting: Magnet, teaching hospital, Level I trauma center
- Float: May float within acute care / intermediate care as needed
- Orientation: Provided prior to start
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry RN experience required
- Active RN license preferred at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS required
- Epic experience required to submit
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Experience with adult and geriatric cardiac patients preferred
- Strong skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drip management
- Ability to work night shifts and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare team
- References required
- Background and license review must be clear
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult cardiac and vascular patients
- Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in rhythm, status, and cardiac response
- Care for patients with ACS, NSTEMI, heart failure, arrhythmias, post-cath care, and post-cardiac surgery needs
- Support patients with advanced heart failure, pacemakers, VADs, and TAVR-related care
- Administer medications and manage therapies according to unit protocols and scope of practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support mobility, respiratory needs, diagnostics, and recovery
- Document patient care accurately in Epic and maintain strong communication with the care team
- Respond appropriately to changes in condition and participate in rapid response support when needed
- Follow unit standards, safety practices, and mobilization protocols to promote positive outcomes
