Description

Registered Nurse — Med Surg/Telemetry

Location

Kingman, Arizona

Contract

13 weeks
36 hours per week
12-hour day shifts

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
ACLS
BLS
At least 1 year of acute care experience
EKG competency
Meditech experience

Job Responsibilities

Provide care for 5 to 6 inpatients with medical or surgical issues/procedures
Float to med-surg remote telemetry units
Occasional float to PCU if needed

Schedule

Every other weekend or one weekend shift per week

Unit Details

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5-6:1
Remote telemetry unit
Navy blue dress code

Orientation

12 hours of non-billable orientation
2 to 3 shifts of floor orientation
8 hours of hospital orientation on a Monday

Additional Notes

Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
Client may call off or cancel up to one shift per two weeks

Cons

Schedule was atrocious especially night shift. Significant amount of floating to the ER as helping hands or a sitter.
