This travel RN position is ideal for an experienced NICU Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced neonatal intensive care unit. You will care for neonates with complex medical and surgical needs, support families throughout the care journey, and work with advanced equipment and Epic charting in a modern pediatric healthcare setting.

- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of total NICU III/IV nursing experience
- At least 1 full year of Level IV NICU experience required
- AHA BLS and NRP certification required
- Epic experience required
- Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation
- Previous travel RN experience required
- Ability to successfully complete required telemetry testing prior to start
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert neonatal nursing care to critically ill newborns and infants from admission through discharge
- Monitor and manage neonates with complex medical, surgical, and congenital conditions in a high-acuity NICU
- Support infants requiring advanced respiratory care, including ventilator management and oxygen delivery systems
- Perform and assist with neonatal nursing procedures such as IV therapy, line management, feeds, thermoregulation, and suctioning
- Care for patients with congenital heart disease, neurologic conditions, metabolic disorders, and post-surgical needs
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Educate and support families throughout the neonatal intensive care experience
- Float as needed to care for patients under 12 months of age and other pediatric areas as assigned
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining a safe, patient-centered environment
