- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040 - $2,140
- Patient Population: Adult intermediate care / stepdown
- Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / IMCU / PCU environment
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU, PCU, or a comparable cardiac stepdown nursing setting
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Active New York RN license required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Epic charting experience required
- Resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, and license verification documentation required for submission
- Ability to work with adult patients and adapt to a busy, team-oriented clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care for adult patients with cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory, and post-op diagnoses
- Monitor and manage patients requiring stepdown-level care and close clinical observation
- Administer medications, assess patient status, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Support patients on specialty equipment and therapies such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and chronic vents
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit-based protocols and standards of care
- Float as needed within the facility in accordance with assignment expectations
