• Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040 - $2,140
• Patient Population: Adult intermediate care / stepdown
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / IMCU / PCU environment

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU, PCU, or a comparable cardiac stepdown nursing setting
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Active New York RN license required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Resume, skills checklist, driver’s license, and license verification documentation required for submission
• Ability to work with adult patients and adapt to a busy, team-oriented clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care for adult patients with cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory, and post-op diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients requiring stepdown-level care and close clinical observation
• Administer medications, assess patient status, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Support patients on specialty equipment and therapies such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and chronic vents
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit-based protocols and standards of care
• Float as needed within the facility in accordance with assignment expectations
