Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Russellville, Arkansas
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710-$1,800
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
• Unit Focus: Medical-Surgical / Med Surg Tele
• Float Requirement: Float to other Med/Surg floors as needed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, at minimum
• Call: Occasional call may be required during low census periods

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Arkansas
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg, Medical-Surgical, or a similar inpatient nursing setting
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute-care environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Experience with Meditech or similar EHR systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and support treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Assess, document, and respond to changes in patient status promptly
• Support an estimated 6-7 patient ratio in the Med/Surg setting
• Provide flexible coverage across Med/Surg floors when needed
• Maintain accurate charting and follow established clinical protocols and safety standards
