Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active Hawaii RN license required prior to start
  • At least 1 year of recent RN experience preferred; PCU, telemetry, or acute care experience is highly valued
  • Ability to pass an on-site EKG test to continue the assignment
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and consecutive weekends as needed
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting

PCU RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients in a Progressive Care Unit
  • Monitor patient status, interpret changes, and promptly escalate concerns when needed
  • Administer medications and treatments according to plan of care and facility protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and on time
  • Support a positive patient experience through professionalism, teamwork, and attentive bedside care
