Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel nursing assignment in Bolivia, North Carolina. This Women’s Services role provides high-quality care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and mother/baby units, with a strong focus on patient safety, teamwork, and bedside support.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / LDRP / Mother-Baby
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: Required; 2 mandatory call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float: Yes, to assist other units as needed
• Orientation: 24-32 hours
• Start Date: 8/31/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• BLS certification required
• AWHONN certification required
• NRP certification required
• Experience with LDRP, Mother/Baby, and fetal monitoring
• Skilled in sterile speculum exams, fetal heart rate interpretation, and breastfeeding support
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating within or near the facility as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to laboring, postpartum, and mother/baby patients
• Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring equipment
• Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Assist with sterile speculum exams and vaginal deliveries
• Support breastfeeding education and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver safe, efficient care in a busy Women’s Services unit with a strong team environment
• Assist with call coverage and float assignments as scheduled
