Job Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification from AHA
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a Med/Surg or medical-surgical nursing environment
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based acute care setting
• Comfort working variable day and night shifts and participating in on-call coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions
• Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Administer medications and carry out ordered treatments and interventions
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on changing needs
• Educate patients and families on self-care, recovery, and health maintenance after discharge
• Promote a healing, compassionate environment for patients and families
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality nursing practice
