- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Unit Setting: Stroke & Brain / Progressive Care
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a PCU, telemetry, progressive care, or stroke-focused setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drips preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort caring for neurological and stroke patients
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and float as needed based on competency
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to PCU patients with telemetry and stroke-related needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Perform comprehensive assessments and collaborate with the care team on patient plans
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Support patient education, mobility, and recovery goals throughout the shift
- Float to other areas where competency has been demonstrated when needed
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that supports excellent patient outcomes
