Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent acute care, PCU, telemetry, or step-down experience
• Strong stroke nursing and neurology experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drips
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend scheduling
• Comfortable adapting to floating assignments within areas of demonstrated competency

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients with stroke and neurological needs
• Monitor telemetry, cardiac drips, and changes in patient condition
• Perform timely assessments, interventions, and documentation in the electronic medical record
• Support patient safety, care coordination, and effective communication with the healthcare team
• Utilize unit equipment and technology to promote efficient, patient-centered care
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a high-engagement acute care environment
