- Healthcare Setting: 12-bed ICU with a 35-bed Med-Surg unit
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 1+ year of recent ICU nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- LTAC experience preferred
- Comfort working in a high-acuity adult ICU environment
- Ability to float to qualified Med-Surg assignments as needed
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to ICU and LTAC patients
- Monitor and manage complex conditions including vent weaning, wound care, and tracheostomy/PEG care
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and support respiratory and hemodynamic stability
- Perform assessments, document accurately in Epic EMR, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, PT, and social services
- Support procedures and interventions such as central line care, suctioning, and blood glucose management
- Float to other qualified units when needed based on census and operational needs
