- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Days and nights as needed; 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week on average; 72 guaranteed biweekly hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Weekend/Holiday Commitment: Every other weekend; 2 holidays required if working through winter holidays
- Orientation: Weekly orientation
- Location: Cambridge, MA 02138
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2+ years of experience in an ICU, critical care, or similar high-acuity nursing setting
- BLS certification from AHA
- ACLS certification from AHA
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
- Comfortable floating between ICU and IMCU as needed
- Must have been separated from the health system for 6+ months to be considered
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-acuity environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition quickly and effectively
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to ICU standards
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care team members
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC
- Support transitions in care between ICU and IMCU patient populations when assigned
- Maintain professionalism and flexibility in a rotating shift travel nursing environment
- Deliver high-quality critical care while contributing to a positive team culture
