Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Minimum 1 year of previous nursing experience required
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care environment
• Ability to step into charge nurse and preceptor responsibilities as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process across all areas of the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid patient assessments on arrival and throughout the visit, responding quickly to changing conditions
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products as indicated
• Deliver clear patient education and support informed care decisions
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, teaching, and observations accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, efficient, high-quality emergency care
• Support charge nurse and preceptor functions when assigned
