Job Requirements

• 2+ years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active New York RN license and all active RN licenses in good standing
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Strong resume demonstrating relevant Med/Surg experience
• Skills checklist matching the Medical/Surgical specialty
• Valid driver’s license with address matching submitted demographics
• Ability to provide requested RTO at the time of submission
• Comfort working night shifts and floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult Medical-Surgical patients on a night shift schedule
• Assess, monitor, and support post-surgical and general medical patients
• Care for patients with diagnoses including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery recovery
• Manage common unit equipment such as IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient patient flow and positive outcomes
• Document accurately in EPIC and communicate clearly with the care team
• Adapt to floating assignments while delivering consistent, patient-centered nursing care
