Job Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience required
• Experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, Stepdown, or Progressive Care required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC charting required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Must be comfortable floating to like units within scope

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Cardiac Stepdown and Intermediate Care setting
• Monitor telemetry and assess patients for changes in cardiac rhythm, vital signs, and overall condition
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, including titration when appropriate per unit practice
• Support patients with respiratory needs such as BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula therapy
• Manage IV therapy, central lines, PICC lines, ports, and blood product administration
• Care for patients recovering from procedures and those with complex medical diagnoses
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow all unit protocols and standards of care
