Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or orthopedic nursing experience preferred
• Strong orthopedic background, ideally in acute care or post-op recovery
• Excellent compassion, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in weekend scheduling
• Comfortable in a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-op orthopedic and spine patients
• Monitor patient conditions, complete assessments, and report changes promptly
• Support recovery for knee and hip replacements as well as multi-level spine surgeries
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the care team to promote safe patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech electronic health record system
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach throughout each shift
• Follow unit guidelines while contributing to a positive team atmosphere
