• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630
• Unit Type: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Shift Pattern: Equivalent of every other weekend

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a PCU, telemetry, cardiac step-down, or similar acute care setting
• Active BLS and ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred or required based on unit needs
• Strong cardiac knowledge and comfort managing telemetry patients
• Experience with heparin, Cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, and amiodarone drips
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Experience with Meditech charting is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to progressive care patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and document strip interpretation accurately each shift
• Administer and titrate complex IV infusions per protocol and provider orders
• Perform bedside rounding, hourly rounding, and ongoing patient safety checks
• Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, and other unit-specific procedures as assigned
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, hospitalists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to other medical-surgical or PCU areas when needed based on skill mix
• Maintain professional appearance and follow unit policies, including telemetry and alarm response standards
