Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong cardiac cath lab background to support standard cath and structural cases in a fast-paced cardiovascular care environment. This travel nursing job is ideal for a confident clinician who thrives in a collaborative procedural setting and is ready to contribute to a highly regarded cardiac team in Chattanooga, TN.
Job Details
- Location: Chattanooga, TN
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Call Coverage: Up to 14 call shifts per month
- Floating: Possible EP Lab support
- Documentation System: Merge / Meditech
- Special Equipment: Standard cath lab equipment used for advanced cardiac care
- Dress Code: Navy, royal blue, or gray scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience
- Experience circulating cardiac cath and structural heart cases
- Working knowledge of cath lab equipment, procedures, and moderate sedation
- BLS and ACLS required
- RCIS or CVRN preferred
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced procedural environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Circulate during cardiac cath and structural heart procedures
- Support patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery throughout the procedural workflow
- Assist physicians and the care team during diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases
- Monitor patients receiving moderate sedation and respond to changing clinical needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in the cath lab
- Contribute to a collaborative unit culture focused on excellence in cardiovascular care
