• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Schedule: Day and night shifts available, including every other weekend and some holidays; no call
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

• Additional Notes: Travelers may be required to float as needed and must pass a telemetry exam prior to start

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
• Current Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Prior CVICU experience required
• Experience with NextStage CVVH machine required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Ability to successfully complete required telemetry testing before start
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and comfort working in a high-acuity critical care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
• Care for patients recovering from CABG, valve repair/replacement, transplant, aneurysm repair, and other complex cardiothoracic procedures
• Monitor and manage advanced therapies and equipment, including CRRT, IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard when applicable
• Interpret rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Adapt to shifting patient acuity and changing assignments throughout the shift
• Support a positive team culture while delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced critical care environment
