• Position: Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)
• Unit Type: Adult Medical-Surgical
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Charting System: Cerner
• Patient Census: Approx. 25-30 patients daily
• Bed Count: 34-bed unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-7
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Current WV RN license or Compact RN license; pending license accepted for submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS through AHA
• Experience with an electronic health record (EHR) system required, preferably Cerner
• Strong background in adult medical-surgical nursing and inpatient care
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a busy acute care environment
• References and complete compliance documentation required at time of submission

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor and manage patients with complex diagnoses and changing clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform assessments, document findings, and communicate changes in patient status
• Support patients requiring IV therapy, wound care, respiratory support, and post-procedure care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response resources
• Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, compassion, and patient-centered care
