Job Details

• Location: Bridgeport, WV
• Setting: Acute care, MedSurg/Tele Float Pool
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotating holiday schedule with permanent staff
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,180-$2,290

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to pass a cardiac rhythm interpretation exam
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Experience caring for MedSurg and telemetry patients preferred
• Comfortable floating to multiple inpatient units as needed
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to telemetry and MedSurg patients across the float pool
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient status changes
• Collaborate with charge nurses, monitor techs, CNAs, and the clinical team to support patient care
• Float to assigned units and adapt to varying patient needs and acuity levels
• Deliver care for patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, chest pain, chronic renal disease, ortho, and oncology
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain strong communication throughout the shift
• Work within scope for basic telemetry patients without drip titration responsibilities
• Contribute to a patient-centered environment focused on teamwork, quality outcomes, and clinical support
