The NICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care to patients as early as 22 weeks gestation, with needs ranging from respiratory support to surgical and cardiac interventions. This role is ideal for a confident NICU nurse who thrives in a high-acuity setting and enjoys working as part of a collaborative care team in a Level III NICU.

Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Experience in Level III and/or Level IV NICU settings preferred
- Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Strong experience with neonatal respiratory, cardiovascular, and infection-control care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity neonatal intensive care environment
- Completion of all credentialing and fingerprinting requirements by the required deadline
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
- Monitor and manage respiratory distress, glucose concerns, and other high-acuity neonatal conditions
- Administer medications and therapies, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
- Support ventilator management, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP settings
- Perform and assist with arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVC care, and feeding tube management
- Use SBAR communication to coordinate care with providers and families
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, physical therapy, and interpretation services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered neonatal care to infants and their support systems
