Job Requirements

• 4+ years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Prior stepdown experience preferred for flexible coverage needs
• At least 1 recent successful travel nurse contract
• Ability to independently read telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Must pass an on-site exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better
• Experience with Meditech, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to adapt quickly across different inpatient units and clinical settings
• Psychiatric nursing experience highly preferred
• Strong preference for Epic experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across multiple MedSurg and telemetry units
• Float confidently between patient care areas and respond to changing unit needs
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV-related care and support routine acute care nursing duties
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain safe, efficient patient throughput
• Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Support MedSurg specialty needs that may include ortho, urology, neurology, GYN, cardiology/telemetry, and cardio-thoracic care
